Puppeteers/makers of Broome

Over a series of free workshops from the 22 July to the 7th September volunteers made 4 -5 giant puppets, which celebrate the rich biodiversity of the Dampier Peninsular. They made their debut at the Shinju Matsuri Festival on the streets of Broome, accompanied by a fantastic group of musicians. These workshops provided an opportunity to develop construction and performance skills, and were fun, inspiring and empowering.
